Kids keep you on your toes

So Wednesday afternoon I was down stairs with Bobby and we heard Carley let out a cry from upstairs. We both go running upstairs and find Carley at the top of the stairs crying and holding her arm. The kids say she was jumping on her bed and fell into the foot board. So we look at it and try to evaluate if she's ok or not. We decided that she needed to have it looked at and headed off to Urgent Care. We got there and they did an x-ray and my baby girl broke her arm. She's right handed and broke her right arm. She is doing well and it doesn't seem to be bothering her. It's just so hard to sit here and look at her with her little arm all wrapped up.

So I am a little behind....

The summer has come and gone and I am just now getting around to a blog. It was a busy summer and is now an even busier school year.

We had a great summer. We celebrated Carley's 3rd birthday on the 4th of July. Her favorite part of her birthday is the "booms in the sky" also know to everyone else as "fireworks". She has called them "booms in the sky" since she saw her first fireworks show in 2007.

In August we started school. Cheyenne is now in 4th grade and Cody started Kindergarten. Cheyenne is doing well, not as excited about school as she use to be, but still enjoying it for the most part. Cody, on the other hand, can't get enough of school. He LOVES it. Carley had a hard time with Cody starting school, but we have joined a play group and have a play date about once a week.

August also brought Cody's 6th birthday and Bobby's 40th.

Which brings us to September. There was homework, back to school night, picture day, PTA fundraiser and other things I am sure I forgot! It was a busy month and pretty much a blur.

Now we are a little over half way done with October and preparing for lots of activities. Cody will be taking his first bus ride to the pumpkin patch next week. He is really excited about it. He will also be in a play and gets to go to our performing arts center to see "Disney Spectacular". Cheyenne will also be seeing the "Disney Spectacular". We are quickly approaching Cheyenne's 9th Birthday. Can't believe that she is going to be 9....where does the time go?

My two stepsons, Robert,19, and Anthony,17, are both doing well. Robert is in the process of joining the National Guard. We are really proud of him and are hoping that all goes smooth for him. Anthony is working at Lowe's doing demonstrations for flooring for builders and contractors. He seems to really enjoy it.

Bobby and I are both doing well, just trying to keep up with all the kids. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on October 7th. It was nice to go out to dinner without the kids and go where we wanted to go!

So that brings us up to date and hopefully I won't get so far behind.
