So Wednesday afternoon I was down stairs with Bobby and we heard Carley let out a cry from upstairs. We both go running upstairs and find Carley at the top of the stairs crying and holding her arm. The kids say she was jumping on her bed and fell into the foot board. So we look at it and try to evaluate if she's ok or not. We decided that she needed to have it looked at and headed off to Urgent Care. We got there and they did an x-ray and my baby girl broke her arm. She's right handed and broke her right arm. She is doing well and it doesn't seem to be bothering her. It's just so hard to sit here and look at her with her little arm all wrapped up.

So I am a little behind....
The summer has come and gone and I am just now getting around to a blog. It was a busy summer and is now an even busier school year.
We had a great summer. We celebrated Carley's 3rd birthday on the 4th of July. Her favorite part of her birthday is the "booms in the sky" also know to everyone else as "fireworks". She has called them "booms in the sky" since she saw her first fireworks show in 2007.
In August we started school. Cheyenne is now in 4th grade and Cody started Kindergarten. Cheyenne is doing well, not as excited about school as she use to be, but still enjoying it for the most part. Cody, on the other hand, can't get enough of school. He LOVES it. Carley had a hard time with Cody starting school, but we have joined a play group and have a play date about once a week.
August also brought Cody's 6th birthday and Bobby's 40th.
Which brings us to September. There was homework, back to school night, picture day, PTA fundraiser and other things I am sure I forgot! It was a busy month and pretty much a blur.
Now we are a little over half way done with October and preparing for lots of activities. Cody will be taking his first bus ride to the pumpkin patch next week. He is really excited about it. He will also be in a play and gets to go to our performing arts center to see "Disney Spectacular". Cheyenne will also be seeing the "Disney Spectacular". We are quickly approaching Cheyenne's 9th Birthday. Can't believe that she is going to be 9....where does the time go?
My two stepsons, Robert,19, and Anthony,17, are both doing well. Robert is in the process of joining the National Guard. We are really proud of him and are hoping that all goes smooth for him. Anthony is working at Lowe's doing demonstrations for flooring for builders and contractors. He seems to really enjoy it.
Bobby and I are both doing well, just trying to keep up with all the kids. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on October 7th. It was nice to go out to dinner without the kids and go where we wanted to go!
So that brings us up to date and hopefully I won't get so far behind.

End of the school year
WHEW....another school year over. One question though....where did it go??? Didn't Cheyenne just start preschool? I can't believe my little 5 lbs 13oz baby is going to the 4th grade. To add to that Cody will be starting school in August and Carley will be 3 very soon!! I can't believe they are growing so fast.
Last week we were quite busy and hopefully with the last day of school quickly approaching we will slow down some.
Last Wednesday Cody went for his school physical. He is doing great. He weighs 40 lbs and is 45 inches tall. He had to have 4 shots and a TB test. He did GREAT! Did not make a peep through the whole thing.
Friday we went to an awards assembly for Cheyenne. She got a citizenship award. We are very proud of her. She has done great in school this year.
After Cheyenne's assembly we headed off to the lab for Cody's blood work. I learned something new that day. When they draw blood they take it from your "blood roots" according to Cody. He was SO funny while we were driving to the lab. While at the lab he was sitting on my lap so he was easier to reach. While the tech was drawing his blood I could feel him moving, which I thought was a little crying. I tried to peek at his face and the tech informed me that he was giggling! I couldn't believe it. He just cracks me up. The whole experience with Cody was good, he now wants to work in a lab! Go figure!!
Today we were back at the school, this time for the Spelling Bee. They started with 30 kids and Cheyenne was 11th out of the 30. She's a little disappointed in herself because she wanted to make it to the top three, but we are very proud of her. I think nerves played more of a roll in her missing the word than anything else. Her last word was furniture....Cheyenne spelled it F-U-R-N-I-T-U-R-E-R. She was nervous because as soon as she said it she realized it was wrong. Anyway, still VERY proud of her!
Carley is looking forward to her birthday, but is already asking everyday "Is it my birthday yet?" She is talking, singing and just keeping us all on our toes. You never know what she's going to say!

It's going to be a busy month
Happy May! We are off to a running start it seems. We started off the month of May with Cheyenne calling me from school May 2nd @ 9:40am to tell me that the Student of the month assembly was at 10:00am that day! So Carley, Cody and I throw on some clothes, grab the cameras, jump in the car and make it to the school just as the kids are going into the cafeteria. Cheyenne got her award and we got a few pictures and a video. We are very proud of her!
Cody went for his Kindergarten Orientation on April 30th. He had so much fun he can't wait for school to start. He keeps asking when he gets to go back. Hopefully he is still that enthusiastic about it when August 11th rolls around!(first day of school)
We have started potty training....someone save me! hehe Carley is a very strong willed little girl. Potty training her is going to be a challenge. She has gone a few times, but it has to be her idea. She won't wear underwear alone, she insists on wearing them
OVER her diapers. I know she will get it...eventually, but I am SO looking forward to not changing diapers anymore. I thought about it the other day and I have been changing diapers for almost 9 years straight! I am ready for that to be over.
Bobby just got a new toy...(it's ok, it was to save money on gas, but he thinks it's a toy! hehe) a motorcyle. It sure beats filling up his truck every few days. So he has his motorcyle and I now drive his truck (gets better mpg than mine) and my poor truck just gets to sit in the driveway and collect a layer of dirt.
I am doing well, just trying to keep up with everyone. We have Mother's day coming up, my birthday...30 and holding..hehe and my Mom is coming for a visit around the 21 or 22.
I hope everyone is doing well. Happy Mother's Day!

We made it through two weeks of spring break!!
Well.....school is back in session after being out for two weeks for Spring Break. (Everyone survived, except the house. It's a mess!))Seriously, who's idea was it to give kids two weeks off to be home to drive their parents crazy? I would like to have a chat with them and then lock them in a room with my three who haven't been outside in days because it's been too windy and cold!
Everyone is still healthy...knock on wood! We are looking forward to the weather getting warmer. The down side with that is living in the desert we are going to go from being cool to being extremely warm within a few days. I sure do miss that Ventura weather, but at least it's only an hour and half away!
We are currently working on planning Carley's 3rd birthday party. She doesn't really seem to care as long as she can swim and have "booms in the sky" aka fireworks. I can't believe she's going to be 3 already. I remember laying in the hospital bed watching Bobby hold her by the window watching the grand finale of the fireworks going off at the fairgrounds. I of course didn't see any fireworks that year, but it was all worth it!

So here goes nothing. I don't usually blog, but I think I shall try it.( At least once....hehe) I guess this can be a good way of keeping everyone up to date as to what has been going on and what will be going on. Although I do have to let you know up front....not much happens in our neck of the woods. We are pretty boring!
We had a pretty quiet Easter. The Easter bunny came and brought the kids some goodies and hid eggs. They all had fun, especially Carley. After that we went to the movies and saw Horton Hears a Who. It was a cute movie and the kids enjoyed it.
Cheyenne is on Spring Break for two weeks....please pray that I can keep my sanity that long having 3 kids in the house ALL day! She got her report card Friday and had 5 A's and a B+...we are very proud of her! Cody can't wait to go fishing. Bobby took him out a few weeks ago and taught him how to cast so now he's ready to go catch a fish! Carley wants to go to the park everyday, she loves to slide and talks up a storm. They are a busy bunch of kiddos.
Everyone is now healthy. Cheyenne had a stomach flu and pneumonia a few weeks back, THANKFULLY no one else got sick!
Bobby and I are doing great. Trying to keep up with the kids, which can be a challenge sometimes! Other than that we are healthy and happy!
I will see how this post goes and if anything happens I will post another blog. I am not sure how into this I will get.....we will just have to wait and see!
